Hello! I’m Yanqing. 

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois Chicago, currently on the 2025–2026 job market.

Since 2017, I have been conducting quantitative and qualitative research in applied microeconomics, with final products ranging from a paid consulting report for a business client and industry analyses to scholarly papers on diverse topics.

My current research focuses on labor economics, the economics of education, and law and economics.

Having lived and studied in three different countries, I bring a global perspective and place strong emphasis on context in data analysis.
